Professor Baylor’s research focuses on the cultural and social history of early modern Germany. He is the author of a monograph on Martin Luther’s idea of conscience in its medieval scholastic context and has translated and edited the writings of Thomas Müntzer and other Reformation radicals. His book The German Reformation and the Peasants’ War appears in the Bedford Series in History and Culture.
